ABOUT COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT CENTERS

These CENTERS assist with recruitment for COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT CENTERS to fill out an enrollment application. After a brief orientation, you will be scheduled for an interview with an employment specialist who will figure out how we can help in your job search.

Please bring a current resume (if you have one), a state issued photo ID or driver's license, and documentation of your right to work in the USA if you are not a US citizen. If you do not speak English, or have hearing or sight limitations you may wish to bring an interpreter with you.

If you have experience and skills and are ready to find a job, we provide an onsite job lab including computers, Internet access, telephones, and fax facilities. We also offer classes on resume writing, interviewing skills, and perform skill evaluations.

If you do not have work experience or job skills we can provide guidance on finding another agency or organization that may be able to help you get what you need to find a job. Goodwill staff make it their business to know about the resources offered in the local community and it is our goal to provide help to everyone who comes through our doors, if possible.

FOR BUSINESSES:

We assist many businesses and agencies to find applicants for their current job openings, provide a venue to make a presentation to individuals looking for work, and we can also keep you on top of local job fair events. Contact the EMPLOYMENT SERVICES COORDINATOR or call 619-225-2200 ext. 517 for more information.
