WELCOME
Welcome to Goodwill Industries of San Diego County. For 78 years, as a direct result of the generosity of our community, we have been able to help San Diegans receive the training and support they need to find employment and become contributing members of our community.
Our purpose is:
"Getting people jobs"
Our mission is:
"To get people with disabilities and other barriers to employment jobs by developing their skills and work habits through training and real work."
This simple statement provides the basis for all of Goodwill's programs and services which are designed to assist people with disabilities in San Diego County gain employment skills and find a job.
How do we achieve our purpose?
We are always searching for new programs and services to better serve program participants, the customers in our stores (who by simply shopping in our stores are helping us help others) and last, but certainly not least, our generous donors (without you, we would have NO stores and NO programs or services). Currently (2007) Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is offering:
THIRTEEN (13) FREE STANDING STAFFED DONATION CENTERS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK, 362 DAYS A YEAR
These in addition to donation acceptance daily at 12 retail stores - all designed to make it easy for you to donate to Goodwill. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Easter Sunday.
TWELVE(12) RETAIL STORES PLUS ON-LINE STORES.
Since San Diego's Goodwill chooses NOT to conduct traditional fundraising activities, we use the revenue we gain from selling your donations in our retail stores to fund our operating expenses. Our stores are open 7 days a week 362 days a year.
Visit our on-line stores: The on line stores allow us to maximize the return on high end donations, and provide more free services to the community each year.
