  • Bedspreads, blankets, curtains, tablecloths

  • Books, records, tapes, CDs (no bootleg, X-rated, or home made)

  • Computers, Printers, Monitors and other electronics & computer related equipment: Working or not- we will be pleased to accept it. Please note that there is special paperwork that you must complete at the time of donation for these items due to state regulations.

  • Cathode Ray Tubes: Any item with a CRT – working or not

  • Cookware , dishes, platters, pots, pans

  • Games, and toys: Please do not donate recalled items- see www.cpsc.gov

  • Housewares and decorative items

  • Jewelry - real and costume

  • Framed pictures

  • Upholstered furniture, lamps

  • Wood desks, office supplies

  • Radios and stereos

    Goodwill is happy to accept the donation of unencumbered motor vehicles, RVs, boats, motorcycles, and other vehicles that are registered in California, and in running condition. We will need the current registration, the pink slip and your owner's manual (if available). The quickest way to donate your vehicle is to call our San Ysidro facility at 866-554-0401 to make arrangements.

    DONATING COMPUTERS AND TELEVISIONS


    We are happy to accept the following items as a result of the passage of a law in the State of California on January 1, 2005. Please bring these items to any of our stores or donation centers throughout the county, which are open 7 days a week (See list on Contact us Page).

    CPUs: computer towers / hard-drives
    Computer peripherals: disk drives, keyboards, printers, etc.
    Computer monitors, screens, oscilloscopes (CRTs)
    Televisions

    IMPORTANT NOTE: You will be required to fully complete our donation receipt and certify that the items you are donating have been used in the state of California. You will also be asked to provide your name, and address, and to sign the form. If you are donating more than 5 units total(including TVs and computers)you will also need to provide a telephone number, and if you are a business, a contact name. This information will not be used for solicitation purposes, but only be given to the state, as required.

    We are happy to help you set up a donation drive in your neighborhood, school, business or organization. Call Goodwill's Marketing Department at 1-888-4-GOODWILL or email us.

    WHAT WE CAN'T TAKE:


    We regret that we can't take items that need to be repaired, or those we are unable to resell due to state or federal laws. We are a charitable organization and don't have the resources to transport these items to other recycling organizations or to landfill, but we would like to assist you in finding the appropriate place to take them. We suggest that you also contact your local government offices for additional ideas and visit our page on Alternate Recycling sites if you need to dispose of any of the following items.
